Invertiran 265 milliones de dólares en
sector turismo
Santo Domingo, 11 mar (EFE).- El ministro de
Turismo dominicano, Francisco García
Fernández, anunció este miércoles que
inversionistas locales e internacionales
destinarán 265 millones de dólares en la
construcción de un proyecto inmobiliario y
la apertura de una línea aérea en la
provincia Puerto Plata, extremo norte del
país.
El proyecto inmobiliario Palmera se
levantará en el enclave turístico de
Cabarete, mientras que Air Puerto Plata
operará desde el municipio de Puerto Plata,
según detalló una nota del Ministerio de
Turismo local, que da cuenta de la
participación de García en feria turística
de Berlín.
"El objetivo es relanzar a Puerto Plata con
esta línea aérea que volará directamente en
unos dos meses hacia México, Colombia,
Puerto Rico y Venezuela", precisó el
funcionario.
La inversión en el complejo inmobiliario y
turístico será de 250 millones de dólares,
en tanto que la creación de Air Puerto Plata
conllevará un desembolso inicial de 15
millones de dólares.
García Fernández destacó la "gran" inversión
que ha dispuesto el Gobierno dominicano en
Puerto Plata que, a su juicio, ha redundado
en una recuperación del que fuera en su
momento el principal polo turístico local.

Investment in real estate and tourism

creation of Air Puerto Plata involve an
initial outlay of $ 15 million.
García Fernández emphasized the "great"
investment has ordered the Dominican
government in Puerto Plata, in his view, has
